This drug belongs to a group of drugs known as Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. Angiotensin is a natural hormone found in the body that works by narrowing the blood vessels in the human body. Treatan 4mg Tablet 14 'S works by inhibiting angiotensin from performing its duties and therefore preventing the narrowing of blood vessels and aiding the free and proper flow of blood to the organs and through the blood vessels.

Treatan 4mg Tablet 14 'S's dosage may differ for each patient as the treatment regime for each patient depends upon their weight, stage of illness, each patient’s response to Treatan 4mg Tablet 14 'S and any pre-existing medical condition a patient might have.

In adults,the standard dose of Treatan 4mg Tablet 14 'S is a tablet per day. In children between the ages of 6-17 years; depending upon the weight of the child the dosage may range from 2-16mg per day if the weight of the child is below 50kg and 4-32mg in cases where the weight of the child is above 50kg.Treatan 4mg Tablet 14 'S is safe to use in children aged 1 year and above, for the treatment of high blood pressure although dosages may vary depending on the severity of each case and weight of the child in question.
