Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S belongs to a class of drugs called “antithrombotic agents” used for prevention of heart attacks and strokes. It helps decrease the chances of having another heart attack or stroke in patients who have a history of a heart disease.
It is an antiplatelet medicine or blood thinner that makes your blood flow through your veins easily. Moreover Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S helps prevent the formation of blood clots in patients who have a high risk of having them.
It is available on prescription, as tablets. Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S works by decreasing the formation of blood clots by preventing platelets from sticking together. Thereby, lowering the chance of heart attack or stroke.
Common side effects of this medication are prolonged bleeding (you may have nosebleeds, heavier periods, bleeding gums or bruising) and upset stomach when taken with alcohol.
Dosage of Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S depends on age, severity of condition, patient's response to medicine and their comorbidities. It is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.

Form and Strength
Usual dose is 75 mg daily with or without food.
Non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome: 300 mg loading dose followed by 75 mg daily given in combination with 75-100 mg aspirin daily.
Doses are modified accordingly if a patient has renal or hepatic impairment.

They both work to prevent blood clots and future heart attacks (if you have already had one) but the latter is not approved to prevent further strokes (if you have already had one). Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S is usually taken once a day unlike ticagrelor which is taken twice a day and Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S is known to cause less bleeding when compared to ticagrelor.
10. IS THERE ANY FOOD OR DRINK I NEED TO AVOID WHILE TAKING Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S?
Grapefruit juice may increase the blood-thinning effect of your medicine, hence it is advised not to drink it when taking Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S.
11. IS IT SAFE TO USE Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S FOR A LONG TIME?
Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S is generally safe to take for a long time. In fact, it works best if you take it for many months or even years. At times it may result in a stomach ulcer, but for that your doctor may prescribe a medicine to help prevent any ulcers from forming while taking Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S.
12. WILL I HAVE TO STOP TAKING Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S BEFORE SURGERY OR DENTAL TREATMENT?
Do not stop taking Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S without consulting with your doctor or dentist. You will be informed if you need to stop taking it before any procedure. You might be advised to stop taking it for a short time before a procedure because of the risk of bleeding.
It may cause a decrease in blood pressure as a side effect. However, this is very rare and is not experienced by everyone. Consult your doctor if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, weak or have a blurred vision as these could be symptoms of low blood pressure.
14. CAN I DRIVE OR RIDE A BIKE AFTER TAKING Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S?
Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S doesn't affect your concentration, so you can drive or ride a bike while you're taking it.
15. HOW SHOULD Platlo 75mg Tablet 7 'S BE STORED?
Keep the medicine at room temperature in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people. Dispose of the unused medicine when it is expired or no longer needed.
