Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml is prescribed to patients suffering from itchy and watery eyes due to allergic reactions.Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml belongs to a group of chemicals known as antihistamines that work by blocking histamine and its effects on the human body.Thereby,preventing an inflammatory reaction to occur.Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml is not prescribed to patients under the age of 2 years and is prescribed to pregnant and lactating mothers only is necessary and under the supervision of a doctor.

A drop of Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml in each eye is the recommended dosage.The dosage can be increased to two drops or reduced depending on the patient’s stage of illness and any adverse effects felt by the patient.Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml must be applied with clean hands,make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn't touch the surface of the eye or any other surface.It is imperative that the tip of the dropper/tube and hands are always clean before the application of Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml.Make sure to shake Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml immediately after each use.

To apply Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml,pull the head back slightly,then the lower eyelid is pulled down to create a small space where a drop of solution from the tip is applied.Close eye for a minute or two after Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml application,while applying pressure at the inner corner of the eye (area near the nose) to prevent solution from draining into the nasal and/or oral passages.Do not rub or blink after applying eye drops.If the recommended dosage is more than one drop of Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml then the above steps are to be repeated.{{product} may cause blurred vision,headache and dry eyes,these effects are temporary and tend to resolve on their own in a few days' time.

Dosage

Adult Dosage 

A drop per day,in each eye is recommended to patients.

Child Dosage 

A drop per day,in each eye is recommended to patients aged 2 years and above.Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml is deemed unsafe to be administered in patients under the age of 2 years.

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml is to be prescribed to pregnant women only if very necessary and under the care and supervision of an opthamologist.Same goes for breastfeeding mothers as trace amount of Ocudine Eye 0.2% Drop 5 ml is seen in breastmilk.

Contraindications

  • Blurred vision- This side effect tends to go away on its own if a few days;patients are advised to not operate heavy machinery or drive any motorized vehicles in the meantime.If blurred vision persists,please contact your doctor.
