About

About

Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S is a synthetic antibiotic that is used to treat infections caused by aerobic Gram-positive bacteria. It is bacteriostatic against both enterococci and staphylococci, as well as bactericidal against most streptococci isolates. This medicine is prescribed to treat some types of severe bacterial infections such as pneumonia, and skin and soft tissue infections. This medicine is only active against diseases caused by gram-positive organisms and is inactive against gram-negative disease-causing pathogens.

Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S belongs to a class of drugs known as monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors that work by interfering with the growth of bacteria. Colds, flu, and other viral diseases do not respond to antibiotics such as Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S. When antibiotics are used when they aren't needed, you run the risk of developing an infection that is resistant to antibiotics later.

Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S is available on prescription as tablets to be taken by mouth (orally) usually twice a day or as directed by your doctor.

Common side effects of this medication are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, anemia, loose stools, eosinophilia, etc.

Dosage is largely determined by the patient's reaction to the product as well as any side effects seen during therapy. Dosage should not be raised or decreased without consulting a physician, and the product should only be used for the period prescribed.

Indications

Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S is used in the treatment of:

  • Nosocomial pneumonia caused by streptococcus pneumonia and staphylococcus aureus (methicilin resistant and susceptible isolates)
  • Community-acquired pneumonia caused by streptococcus pneumonia and staphylococcus aureus (methicilin resistant and susceptible isolates)
  • Infections of the skin and skin structures, both complicated and uncomplicated, such as diabetic foot infections
  • Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium infections.

How Does Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S Work?

Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S contains Linezolid as an active ingredient. Linezolid is an antibiotic oxazolidinone that is effective against most aerobic Gram-positive bacteria and mycobacteria. It seems to be bacteriostatic against staphylococci and enterococci, as well as bactericidal against most streptococci isolates.

Linezolid works as an antibacterial agent by interfering with the translation of bacterial proteins. It binds to a location on the 50S subunit of the bacterial 23S ribosomal RNA, blocking the creation of a functional 70S initiation complex, which is required for bacterial reproduction and hence prevents bacteria from dividing.

How to use Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S?

Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S is available as a tablet and suspension. This medication is taken by mouth with or without food usually two times a day (every 12hrs) for 10-28 days or as directed by your physician.

  • Your treatment time is determined by the type of illness you have.
  • Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and if you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist to clarify anything you don't understand.
  • Take Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less of it, or take it more frequently than your doctor prescribes.
  • Even if you feel better, continue taking this medicine until the prescription is finished.
  • Do not discontinue taking Nezolid 600mg Tablet 4 'S without first consulting your physician. Your illness may not be entirely treated if you stop taking this antibiotic too soon or miss doses, and the bacteria may become resistant to medications.
