Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S is used to treat symptoms such as stiff,swollen and painful joints that are commonly seen in patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis,osteoarthritis and similar illnesses.Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S belongs to a group of drugs known as NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) and mainly works by blocking the natural chemical groups that cause inflammation in the human body.
A tablet a day,to be taken orally (by mouth) is the commonly prescribed dosage.Dosage essentially depends on the patient’s response to Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S and any adverse effects felt by the patient while undergoing treatment.Dosage is not to be increased or decreased without the consent of a physician and Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S is to be taken for the recommended time period only.
Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S has been known to cause gastrointestinal ulcers and therefore,it is recommended to ingest Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S with food,milk or an antacid to prevent indigestion and other discomforts.Intake of alcohol,smoking of tobacco and other substances is not advisable as they can cause dizziness and also increase the risk of stomach bleeding as well as ulcers.

Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S is to be ingested once daily by mouth for a specified time period only.Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S is advised to be ingested with food as it may cause an upset stomach.Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S may even be ingested with milk or an antacid to prevent an upset stomach.Alcohol usage as well as cigarette smoking is not advised while undergoing treatment with Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S as it may increase the patient’s risk of stomach ulcers.
Adult Dosage
A tablet a day is most commonly prescribed to patients aged 18 years and above.Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S can be prescribed twice daily as well if need be in certain cases;the two doses are to be evenly spaced out throughout the day.
Child Dosage
Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S is not recommended for children under the age of 2 years.The dosage for children 2 years and above is customized for their weight and age.
Elderly Dosage
Patients aged 65 years and older and mostly started off at a lower dosage due to reduced kidney function.
This drug is not to be taken or prescribed to expecting and lactating mothers as it may have fatal consequences for the unborn child.If you are taking the drug and become pregnant,inform your doctor immediately.Small amounts of this drug can be transferred to the child through breast milk and therefore Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S isn't recommended to lactating mothers.If you are planning to conceive and are taking Melfax 7.5mg Tablet 10 'S as treatment, then refer to the doctor.The physician is likely to change your medicine and dosage.
