It helps decrease the chances of having another heart attack or stroke in patients who have a history of heart disease. It is an antiplatelet medicine or blood thinner that makes your blood flow through your veins easily. Moreover Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S helps prevent the formation of blood clots in patients who have a high risk of having them.

Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S works by decreasing the formation of blood clots by preventing platelets from sticking together. Thereby, lowering the chances of heart attack or stroke.
ADULT DOSAGE: A tablet of 75MG once a day is prescribed.
ACUTE HEART SYNDROME: A maximum of 300MG of drug can be prescribed to patients safely daily. A range between 75-100MG of the drug is most commonly prescribed to patients dealing with moderate to severe heart diseases/impairments.
Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S comes packaged in tablet form and can be ingested either with or without meals or milk. These tablets are meant to be ingested whole, without chewing or crushing them. Patients are asked to set an alarm to not forget to ingest Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S.

The duration for using Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S depends on the severity of your condition. It could be prescribed for a few weeks or months, or you may have to take it for a lifetime.
#3. Can I stop taking Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S?
Do not just stop taking the medicine, make sure to complete your treatment course even if you feel better. Stopping it will result in the re-formation of blood clots at a rate at which they were before you started taking Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S. As a result, you will be at a higher risk of serious problems like heart attacks or strokes.

If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, please consult your doctor before using Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S as it is contraindicated. Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S is also not recommended for lactating women.

They both work to prevent blood clots and future heart attacks (if you have already had one) but the latter is not approved to prevent further strokes (if you have already had one). Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S is usually taken once a day unlike ticagrelor which is taken twice a day and Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S is known to cause less bleeding when compared to ticagrelor.
#7. Is there any food or drink I need to avoid while undergoing treatment with Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S?
Grapefruit juice may increase the blood-thinning effect of your medicine; hence it is advised not to drink it when taking Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S.
#8. Will I have to stop taking Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S before surgery or dental treatment?
Do not stop taking Lowplat 75mg Tablet 10 'S without consulting with your doctor or dentist. You will be informed if you need to stop taking it before any procedure. You might be advised to stop taking it for a short time before a procedure because of the risk of bleeding.
It may cause a decrease in blood pressure as a side effect. However, this is very rare and is not experienced by everyone. Consult your doctor if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, weak, or have blurred vision as these could be symptoms of low blood pressure.

Keep the medicine at room temperature in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people. Dispose of unused medicine when it is expired or no longer needed.
