It is known to be a broad-spectrum antibiotic i.e it works against a wide range of disease-causing bacteria. This antibiotic is used to treat bacterial infections such as bronchitis (infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), and infections of the ears, throat, tonsils, and urinary tract. . It will not work for viral infections(such as common cold, or flu).
Fixitil 400mg Capsule 5 'S works by preventing bacteria from forming a protective cell layer called a cell wall, thereby killing them. Using any antibiotic when it is not required may decrease its efficacy for future infections. On the other hand, some people might be allergic to penicillin antibiotics and hence will not be able to take Fixitil 400mg Capsule 5 'S.

Antibiotics are given in divided doses per day at regular intervals of 6 to 12 hours, generally for 7 to 10 days or as advised by your doctor.
