Adult Dosage

These doses are generally recommended for the following conditions:

Hypercholesterolemia or Mixed Dyslipidemia

Starting Dose: 200 mg to be  taken orally, once daily

Hypertriglyceridemia 

Starting Dose:  67 to 200 mg to be  taken orally, once daily

Maximum Safe Dose:  200 mg per day

Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S is not prescribed to children

Elderly Dosage

Dosage in the elderly population is dependent on several factors. Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S is started on a low dose, monitored, and adjusted if required. Due to potential harmful effects, caution must be exercised. 

Treatment must be started at low doses of 67 mg or as prescribed by the doctor to be  taken orally, once daily

If there is kidney dysfunction, treatment must be initiated with Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S at low doses

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S is categorized as FDA pregnancy category C which means it should not be taken during pregnancy due to potentially harmful effects on unborn babies.   • If there is a history of allergy to medicines or products. Carefully read the contents of this product to avoid any future inconvenience 
  • Adequacy of kidney functions must be ensured, dose adjustment is required in case of compromised function. Serum creatinine values must be checked regularly 
  • Adequacy of liver functions must be ensured. ALT/AST levels should be checked periodically. In case of severe deranged liver function, Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S will be discontinued 
  • Special care must be taken with Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S especially if anti-hyperlipidemic like Statins are being taken concurrently. There is an increased risk of muscular problems like rhabdomyolysis, and weakness. Caution is advised especially if you are diabetic or elderly 
  • Majority of the patients with cardiovascular disease are taking some type of blood thinners s, which can cause bleeding problems. Dose adjustment and monitoring of INR/PT are advised with concomitant use of anticoagulants
  • An increased risk of gallstones exists with the use of Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S. If you already have a gallbladder disease you must not use this medicine
  • The use of Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S in pregnant females carries a risk to unborn babies so it must not be used unless considered necessary  
  • Before using Fenoget 67mg Capsule 10 'S reduced thyroid function must be informed to doctor
