Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml is most commonly used to enlarge the pupil so that eye tests for conditions such as Glaucoma, Macular degeneration, Diabetic retinopathy, and similar illnesses can be conducted easily and efficiently. Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml belongs to a group of chemicals known as Anticholinergics and thereby, works by preventing Acetylcholine and allowing for the relaxation of the eye muscles.
1-2 drops of Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml are to be applied. The dosage can be repeated after 10-15 minutes if need be Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml must be applied with clean hands, make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn't touch the surface of the eye or any other surface. The tip of the dropper/tube and hands must be always clean before the application of Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml. Make sure to shake the Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml immediately after each use.
Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml is not prescribed to patients under the age of 30 days and is prescribed to pregnant and lactating mothers only if necessary and under the supervision of a doctor. Mild stinging and blurred vision are common side effects that resolve on their own within 24-48 hours. Patients are asked to remain cautious during that time and not operate heavy machinery.

How Does Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml Work
Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml works by relaxing the sphincter muscles of the eye attached to the iris or the eye Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml can do this by preventing acetylcholine to elicit a nerve response that will contract the muscles.
How To Use Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml
Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml must be applied with clean hands, make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn't touch the surface of the eye or any other surface. The tip of the dropper/tube and hands must be always clean before the application of Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml. Make sure to shake the Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml immediately after each use.
To apply Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml, pull the head back slightly, then the lower eyelid is pulled down to create a small space where a drop of solution from the tip is applied. A close eye for a minute or two after Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml application, while applying pressure at the inner corner of the eye (area near the nose) to prevent the solution from draining into the nasal and/or oral passages. Do not rub or blink after applying eye drops. If the recommended dosage is more than one drop of Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml then the above steps are to be repeated.
Before applying any other eye drop that might be prescribed along with Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml, the patient is to wait 5-10 minutes. Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml is recommended to be applied at the same time each day and for the recommended period. Excess of Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml may be wiped clean with a clean tissue or cloth. Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml is not to be stopped abruptly even after experiencing a decrease in symptoms as Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml is meant to be tapered off and stopping it before time may even result in a return of the bacterial infection
There is a risk that Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml usage may result in stains on contact lenses and it is therefore advised to apply Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml a minimum of 15-20 minutes before wearing the contact lenses.
Adult Dosage
1-2 drops are to be applied to each eye. Dosage may be repeated after 5-10 minutes if dilation of the eye is not sufficient
Child Dosage
Cyclogyl Eye 1% Drop 15 ml is not prescribed to patients aged 30 days and below. For children aged 18 years and below,1-2 drops may be administered. Dosage may be repeated after 5-10 minutes if dilation of the eye is not sufficient
Elderly Dosage
