Cutis 250mg Tablet 10 'S is chemically composed of Terbinafine, effective against a number of yeast infections.
Cutis 250mg Tablet 10 'S is classified as an Azoles antifungal which acts by blocking an important enzyme involved in the synthesis of key components for the fungal cell wall, indirectly targeting it and causing fungal cell death due to altered permeability of the fungal cell walls.
Cutis 250mg Tablet 10 'S is available in the form of oral tablets, meant to be taken by mouth in doses prescribed by the doctor. Cutis 250mg Tablet 10 'S is commonly prescribed as one tablet daily and the treatment may continue for 4 - 12 weeks depending on the infection. It may take up to weeks before clinical improvements in fungal infection are seen. The dose is usually given as a single tablet (once daily) and the treatment is commonly continued for 4-12 weeks or as per the patient’s condition. Make sure to complete your treatment till full prescription to avoid recurrence. Cutis 250mg Tablet 10 'S is not advised to be given to children under the age of 4 years. For Elderly patients, a tablet per day is prescribed, kidney and liver functions must be considered before prescribing this medicine.

Pediatric Dose
Oral granules (125 mg) are more suited for children because of compliance and easy intake. However, whenever tablets are indicated in children 4 years and above, the following dose as per the child’s body weight can be used to calculate the exact dose.

< 25 mg - 62.5 mg / day
25 - 35 kg - 125 mg / day
> 40 kg - 250 mg / day
Elderly dose
In general, the dose in these patients matches those of the adults. But dose adjustment should be considered in case of kidney and liver impairment or reduced function to avoid harmful effects. In case of severe liver dysfunction, Cutis 250mg Tablet 10 'S should be avoided.
