Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S contains Atenolol which belongs to the category of beta-blockers that are prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure. The consumption of this medicine lowers blood pressure and alleviates the risk of heart attacks, kidney problems, and stroke.
Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S also contains Chlorthalidone which is a diuretic that is also known as a water pill that functions by removing all the excess salt and water from the body resulting in reduced blood pressure.
In most cases, patients are required to avoid the consumption of apple juice as it may cause the medicine to not function completely. If the patient is also consuming any other medicine such as cholesterol-lowering medicine, then he is required to maintain a time gap of a few hours within the intake of both medicines. Usage of tobacco and alcohol during this medication is highly discouraged and should be avoided.
Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S consists of "atenolol" beta-blocker that function by influencing the reaction to nerve impulses in specific areas of the body, such as the heart, which leads to the heart beating slower and lowering the blood pressure. The oxygen supply is increased to the heart once the blood pressure decreases. Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S also contains "chlorthalidone" a diuretic (water pill). It functions by decreasing the quantity of water in the body by increasing the outflow of urine which helps in lowering blood pressure.

Adult Dosage
Initially started with a smaller dose of 50mg/12.5mg once daily that can be increased to 100mg/25mg once daily.
Elderly Dosage
Elderly patients are also prescribed Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S once a day but initiated with a smaller dose unless they have renal impairment, kidney problems, or any heart problems. In that case, the patient has been prescribed 1 tablet once a day with fewer mgs of atenolol.
Pediatric dose

Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S contains components that can be seen as dangerous for the fetus and the woman conceiving. The consumption during the second and third trimesters is highly discouraged, the first-trimester usage varies according to patients’ conditions and reactions towards the medicine. It should be avoided and only ingested if advised as highly necessary by the doctor.
Lactating women are also advised to avoid it as it can also cause bradycardia or hypoglycemia.
Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S is available in tablet form that is taken orally (by mouth) usually one tablet a day but the dosage can vary according to the patient's conditions. The patient is required to ingest this medicine with or without food 4-5 hours before bedtime preferably with water to help it flow down the throat easily. Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S will also cause an increased amount of urination so patients are required to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. The medicine should also be ingested at the same time each day to build a routine. Patients are advised to not consume an apple or orange juice 3-5 hours before or after the intake of medicine as it can interact and decrease the effect of Blokium DIU 50mg+12.5mg Tablet 10 'S
