Betagan Eye 0.50% Drop 5 ml was created as a treatment for open-angle glaucoma and is a beta blocker which assists the reduction of high pressure inside the eyes. The Betagan Eye 0.50% Drop 5 ml is also prescribed as a treatment for ocular hypertension. The medicine can be prescribed alone and often with other medications as well depending on the treatment and prescription of the doctor.

The dosage of the medicine is dependent upon the patient's condition, most commonly 1-2 drops a day are prescribed. The eye drops are to be kept out of reach of children, it is imperative that the patients apply the eye drops at the same time each day and in case of a missed dose inform the doctor right away.
