Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is designed to treat,prevent and reduce the frequency of chest pains caused due to lack of oxygen and blood reaching the heart and its muscles.Such chest pains are commonly categorized as Angina,which is one of the first and most common sign of a heart attack,therefore it must be taken seriously and treated immediately.

Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is categorized as a subliminal drug;meaning that it is best absorbed by the body when placed in the mouth,under the tongue.Dosage is dependent upon the severity of the pain experienced by the patient but more than 3 sublingual tablets at any given time is not advised.Patients ought to discuss with their physician before ceasing intake of the medicine even if the patient is no longer suffering from common symptoms of angina,as that may lead to an increased risk in patients experiencing chest pains.

Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is not prescribed to patients aged 18 years and below.For pregnant and lactating women,Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is to be ingested only if extremely necessary and under the care and supervision of a physician.Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S might show mild side effects such as fatigue,dizziness and headache which resolve on their own in a few days' time

How Does Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S Work

Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S aids in relieving chest pain by widening the blood vessels (increasing the diameter of the blood vessels),thereby allowing more blood and oxygen to flow to the heart and its muscles.

How To Use Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S 

Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is categorized as a subliminal drug;meaning that it is best absorbed by the body when placed in the mouth,under the tongue.After placing the Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S correctly,patients are asked to patiently wait for the drug to dissolve and get absorbed into the body.Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is a fast acting drug that dissolves and brings relief to patients within 5 minutes.If after 5 minutes,the patient is still experiencing pain in their left arm,chest pain and shortness of breath;a second tablet is administered.

It is safe to administer up to 3 sublingual tablets at a time,if after these 3 tablets the symptoms don't decrease or go away;it's advised to rush the patient to the hospital as these chest pains can lead to a heart attack.Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is not meant to be chewed or swallowed.It is advised to not stop treatment abruptly without consulting a doctor as the risk of heart failure and stroke is significantly increased without the drug.

If you miss a dose of the medication, make sure you take it as soon as possible on that same day. If you don’t remember you missed the dose until the next day, do not double the dose and take your medication as per schedule as that will lead to serious adverse effects. If this happens very often, try setting an alarm as a reminder.

Dosage

Adult Dosage 

Patients are advised to start with one sublingual tablet,wait a few minutes (usually 1-3 minutes) to allow the first tablet to take effect,if patient still has pain or discomfort,it's preferable that they ingest another tablet.Upto 3 tablets can be taken at any given time.

Child Dosage 

Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is not safe to be prescribed to patients aged 18 years and younger.

Elderly Dosage 

A lower dosage is commonly prescribed to patients aged 65 years and above.

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

There isn't enough evidence to suggest that Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S is safe to be prescribed to expectant and lactating mothers,therefore,if you are pregnant or planning to start a family while undergoing treatment with Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S,it’s best to consult a physician before ingesting any drug.

Contraindications

Please tell your doctor if you have a history of any of the following before using Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S:

  • Allergy to Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S,any other medicine or food item
  • Head and neck injures 
  • Recent brain surgery 
  • Hematomas or hemorrhages around or in the brain
  • Moderate to severe heart failure 
  • Glaucoma 
  • Severe anemia
  • Hypotension 

Precautions

Interactions With Other Medications

Please tell your doctor about the use of the following before using Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S:

  • Drugs to treat erectile dysfunction or impotence in men (such as,Sildenafil and Vardenafil)
  • Anticoagulants (such as,Warfarin and Heparin)
  • Antidepressants 
  • Antihypertensives 
  • Drugs prescribed for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease
  • Certain drugs used to treat migraines (such as Migril)

Adverse Effects

Common Adverse Effects

Like most medicines,Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S has certain side effects which include:

  • Headache 
  • Dizziness 
  • Stomach problems (such as nausea and vomiting)
  • Fatigue 

These effects tend to be mild and resolve in a few days of taking Angised 0.5mg Tablet 10 'S.

Rare Adverse Effects

If any of the following adverse effects are seen or felt,the patient is advised to immediately contact their doctor.

  • Shortness of breath 
  • Tachycardia (increased heart rate)
  • Numbness of lower limbs or one side of the body
  • Difficulty is vision
  • Change in color of the skin

How To Cope With Some Of The Adverse Effects

  • Headaches- In which case make sure you rest and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid the use of alcohol. Take a prescribed painkiller. Consult your doctor if the headaches last longer than a week or are severe
  • Feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting) or diarrhea -Avoid eating rich or spicy food. It might help to take medication after food. If you're sick, try drinking small, frequent sips of water.. 
  • Feeling dizzy (lightheaded) or weak -If the medication makes you feel dizzy or weak, stop what you're doing and sit or lie down until you feel better and do not rise too fast or immediately from a sitting or lying down position to a standing posture. Do not drive or use tools or machinery in case of any of these effects
  • Fatigue- Patients experiencing this adverse effect, are advised to take deep breaths,intake tea or coffee,get a good night’s rest and not to overburden themselves for a few days.
