FAQs

Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S is prescribed to patients with high blood pressure (normal blood pressure of an adult is usually 120/80 mmHg) and to patients with chest pain, who are at a high risk of suffering a heart attack. Hypertension if left untreated can cause severe damage to the brain, heart, kidney, blood vessels, and other body organs. High blood pressure is caused by the narrowing of the arteries (blood vessels that take blood to the organs) thus,Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S helps prevent the decrease in the diameter of the vessels keeping them healthy and working efficiently.

Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S may be prescribed once or thrice daily. Dosage is dependent upon the patient’s stage of illness and their response to treatment with Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S. After a few weeks, the doctor may alter the prescribed dosage depending on the patient's health. Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S is to be taken regularly, preferably at the same time each day to help the patient remember their daily dose.

Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S can be prescribed alone or in a combination with other antihypertensive drugs. It is commonly prescribed with nitroglycerin for the acute treatment of heart failure or an angina attack.

How Does Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S Work

Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S is part of a group of chemicals known as Calcium Channel Blockers that prevent the passage of calcium into the blood vessels and cardiac (heart) muscles. With the lack of passage of calcium, these vessels and heart muscles are unable to contract and therefore do not narrow the diameter of the vessels, allowing the free movement of blood.

Adalat-LA 30mg Tablet 10 'S can be used to treat:

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Angina
  • Decrease the risk of heart attack/failure
